2. Add Cash Bid Locations & Commodities

Purpose/Summary
To add locations and commodities to your cash bids.

How It Works

When you click the Publish Cashbids link on your Administration Main Menu, you will be taken to the Publish Cashbids Page where you may begin adding locations. Click Add A Location. You must then enter the following information for your location.

Select State and County - By selecting the county this location is in, the LDP and PCP of the county can be displayed with your bids. Only applicable in the U.S.
Location Name - This is the name you will use to identify the location to your customers.
Select Public or Private - If you want to restrict the viewing of the bids at this location to one of your User Groups, then you must mark this location as Private and select the desired viewing group from the drop down menu.
Location Preferences - This setting allows you to control some information that is displayed with each bid at this prticular location:
- Display the current future price.
- Display your basis.
- Display your basis price converted to different units. Only visible if you are converting to different units.
Select Commodities - You can add and edit your commodities for this particular location here. Each commodity has several settings described below, which can be changed at any time.
- Contract - The commodity, if any. which the bids can be based off of. If there is non, you will have to use a fixed cash price for the bids.
- LDP - The related LDP commodity of this bid. This can be the same as the contract commodity, but that is not always the case.
- Prec - The precision of the prices. Determines whether top display the basis and cash prices with two or four digits to the right of the decimal place.
- Rounding - Controls how your prices are rounded:
  - 1/2 up:
    - 3.5025 = 3.5
    - 3.505 = 3.51
    - 3.5075 = 3.51
  - 1/2 down:
    - 3.5025 = 3.5
    - 3.505 = 3.5
    - 3.5075 = 3.51
  - Always up:
    - 3.5025 = 3.51
    - 3.505 = 3.51
    - 3.5075 = 3.51
  - Always down:
    - 3.5025 = 3.50
    - 3.505 = 3.50
    - 3.5075 = 3.50
- Calc Price - Determines which value to use when calculating the cash price using your basis.
  - Prev Close - uses the settlement price from the close of the most recent session
  - Last Price - uses the last price (delayed feed)
  - Day/Night Last - uses the last price from either the regular day-traded (pit) contract or the night-traded (electronic) contracts, whichever is the most recent. (delayed feed)
- Convert To - (This field can be displayed/hidden by clicking the Show Unit/Conversion Info button) Allows you to display the cash price of the bids in different units, such as Tonnes or Hundred Weight.
- Conversion Rate - (This field can be displayed/hidden by clicking the Show Unit/Conversion Info button) Defines the conversion rate.
  - Tonnes/Hudnred Weight - Your cash price and basis will be mulitplied by this value.
  - Bushels - Your cash price and basis will be divided by this value.
- Display Name - The name that will be displayed for this commodity and viewed by your customers.
- Insert/Delete - Clicking the delete link will delete the commodity from this location. Clicking the insert link will add a new commodity to this location with the settings selected.
Change Location Header - Allows you to create a header for display at the top of the Cash Bids Page for this location. You may use the Advanced Editor to format this message
