Purpose/Summary To change the layout and display of your cash bids on both the Homepage Component and the Cash Bids Page.
How It Works The Cash Bids Preferences page is linked at the bottom of the page entitled Publish Cash Bids. There are three major sections of preferences in this page:
Cash Bids Page Display Preferences
Price Display Preferences - This area contains checkboxes which enable you to display your current future prices and basis next to your cash bids on the Cash Bids Page only. You have the menu option to apply these preferences to new locatiosn only or all locations. In this way, you may set up several new locations with duplicate preferences without changing the preferences on your existing locations.
Custom Header Message - The Cusomt Header Message is displayed at the top of each Cash Bids Page. Each location has its own separate header, which is set up when a new location is added. The Cusom Header Message in this area will display when all locations are displayed and takes precedence over each location's individual header. You have the menu option to apply these preferences to new locations only or all locations. In this way, you may set up several new locations with duplicate preferences without changing the preferences on your existing locations.
Disclaimer & Custom Message - You may choose to display the Default Disclaimer text below your cash bids on your Cash Bids Page. You may also enter a Custom Message, with or without the Default Disclaimer text. Each location can have its own Default Disclaimer text, which is set up when a new location is added. You have the menu option to apply these preferences to new locations only or all locations. In this way, you may set up several new locations with duplicate preferences without changing the preferences on your existing locations.
Page Layout/Page Display Options - You may choose from four different layouts on your Cash Bids Page: Normal Display, Commodity Table, Table by Location, and Table by Delivery. The Table by Location and Table by Delivery layouts can be customized through different font sizes, outlines, colorization, shading, and display fields.
Table by Delivery will organize your table with delivery dates on the horizontal axis.
Table by Location will organize your table with locations on the horizontal axis.
Homepage Component Display Preferences
Options - You can display bids on your homepage by checking the Home Page Visibility boxes in your Cash Bids Administration page or in the Options area of the Cash Bids Preferences. If set to "Show the prices for the closest active contract," the first nearby active contract will always display on your homepage when the Home Page Visibility box is not checked.
Component Layout/Component Display Options - You may choose from four different layouts on your Cash Bids Page: Normal Display, Commodity Table, Table by Location, and Table by Delivery. Administration Display Preferences Using the drop down menus in this section, the Cash Bids Administration Page can be configured to initially display only the active contracts or all contracts, and to show only a specific number of contracts at once. These options can be used to decrease the time it takes to load the page, making the customary updating go quicker.
